Hi! I’m Lauren!
I am a singer, actor, and dancer based in New York City!
I am originally from a small town near Waco, Texas, and my parents will tell you that I was always singing Sleeping Beauty around the house (obviously nothing has changed since then). My parents brought my sister and I to national tours in Austin growing up, but seeing Les Misérables made me realize that I wanted to be up there telling powerful stories too!
In 2019, I traded the Texas sunsets for city lights and moved to New York City! The big move to the big city paid off, and I recently graduated cum laude from NYU Steinhardt with a Bachelors of Music in Musical Theatre!
When I am not performing, I love going on long runs and walks, sipping coffee from a mug from my massive collection, having deep conversations about life with friends over home-cooked meals, reading loads of fiction, and rewatching only the best movie ever made: Pride and Prejudice (2005).
Recently, I was in a presentation of Revelation: The Musical with Creative NYC, and performed in Rep Book Roulette at The Green Room 42.
To me, storytelling is integral to the human experience. It is how we convey truth, myth, joy, and multitudes of other aspects. Therefore, I consider what I do as a gift, and treat every performance opportunity as such. As a performer, I enjoy a good challenge, and love to deeply and thoughtfully research my work. I strive to create characters and work with other creatives with intentionality, undivided presence, and humility.
